When the urge hits to don my walking boots and go walking with my now 14 month old, it usually first involves a quick search for ‘ walks suitable for babies’, and I’m hit with results for ‘pram friendly walks‘ or ‘short walks your children will enjoy‘ when really I’m looking for ‘pleasant views but so many low trees you’ll spend the entire walk hunched over attempting not to smack your baby in face in his carrier – not recommended.’ Too specific?
So I thought, If that’s something I’m looking for, maybe someone else is too, and maybe I’ll help just one other person find a nice walk with ‘decent shelter to change a nappy’ or ‘comfy rocks for breastfeeding.’ If not, hopefully I’ll have captured some great memories with my hiker in training.
First stop on our recorded walking adventures is the Lake District so stay tuned for some possibly useless recommendations, tales of chaos and photos of large bodies of water from high up ( hopefully).
